Kate's Team® raises $30,170.00 for Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center during the 2007 Terry Fox Run! |
| |
Thank you for visiting the Kate's Team® website! The
Team has had our most successful year yet for participation - with 94 people joining us at this year's Terry Fox Run NYC and raising $30,170.00
for Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. This is an incredible effort by so many people, and I know I can speak for the entire team when I say this year's event was
a ton of fun - it just gets better and better every year! I hope we all continue to make the trip to New York to remember and celebrate the beautiful spirit of Kate, and keep
fighting her battle until no one suffers any longer. Many people are interested in knowing exactly where the money goes - as we all know, every single cent donated goes straight to clinical trials at Memorial Sloan Kettering, the world's largest and oldest cancer center. (For more information on MSKCC, please click here.) The money that Kate's Team® has raised funds research by Dr. Renier Joseph Brentjens, who is studying alternative treatment approaches to eradicate tumor cells in patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). For an update on the study, please click here. Check out the Fall 2007 edition of the Kate's Team® Newsletter!! We have a lot of support behind us - and certainly a lot of appreciation for all of our efforts! Please take the time to check out letters from:

Our 2007 Rookie of the Year is Raili Sharp, an 8-year old from Deerfield, Massachusetts. Raili showed up to the Terry Fox Run with all of the energy and dedication we have come to know in all of our Team members. We are lucky to have her as part of Kate's Team®, and we look forward to having her back next year! |
