Terry Fox Run 2007
The 2007 Terry Fox Run was spectacular successful for Kate's Team; we had 94 participants registered with our group and raised $30,170 for Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center!
This marks the 7th consecutive year in which our team has grown, and I know we will continue to expand our fundraising and participation efforts as the years go on.
2007 Terry Fox Run Highlights
For those of you who couldn't make the Saturday night awards banquet, here are some of the highlights:

Rookie of the Year
Our 2007 Rookie of the Year is Raili Sharp, an 8-year
old from Deerfield, Massachusetts. Raili showed up to the Terry Fox Run with all of the energy and dedication we have come to know
in all of our Team members. We are lucky to have her as part of Kate's TeamŽ, and we look forward to
having her back next year!
Youngest Team Member
This year, the youngest team member award went to Baby Menkes, expected in January 2008. Congratulations, Mike and Susie!
Team Member Stolen from the "Other Side"
Katherine Ottenbreit is the recipient of the first-annual "team member stolen from the other side" award. As
the daughter of the Terry Fox Run - NYC Director, Katherine has been waiting to be a part of Kate's TeamŽ since the 2006 TFR.
Katherine is a fast runner and brings to the team a lot of energy and spirit. "Welcome to Kate's TeamŽ,
Katherine!"
Susie Walkley Menkes Motivator Award
Caitlin McMahon, Kate's niece, won the motivator award this year with her creative fundraising efforts. Caitlin spent
hours making bracelets, generating over $200 in sales - all of which she donated to Kate's TeamŽ. Congratulations, Caitlin!

Dedication Award
Meagan McMahon was the recipient of the Dedication Award - she trained incredibly hard for this year's Run, and completed the run in great time. She is continuing her training for next year's Run, and is prepared to come in 1st for Kate's TeamŽ! Good work, Meagan - we are all proud of you!
